About
We build on
the island.
Not a showroom, not a reseller, not a flat-pack importer. A workshop that draws, builds, installs and commissions — and then answers the phone afterwards.

Why here
A Finnish sauna fails here in predictable ways.
That sentence is the whole reason this business exists. Sauna design is a mature, well-solved discipline — in Northern Europe. Almost every assumption underneath it is about a cold, dry outside.
Bring that design to Lombok and it does not fail dramatically. It fails quietly and specifically. The ventilation, which assumed it could dump hot wet air into cold dry air, instead pushes against 30 °C at 85% humidity and barely moves — so the room feels stale rather than hot and rot starts somewhere you cannot see. The A2 stainless, entirely correct in Bavaria, streaks rust down the cladding within a year of sea air. The chiller on the plunge, rated for a European garden, never catches up against ambient and dies in two seasons. The untreated softwood bearer meets a termite.
None of that is exotic. It is all predictable, and all of it is designed out at the survey — if the person doing the survey has seen it before.
What we actually do
We survey your site, calculate the heat load, draw it, price it firm, build it in our workshop, install it, and run it to temperature with you standing there. Then we hand over a written maintenance schedule and, if you want, we come back and do the maintenance.
There is no deposit until you have seen the drawing and the price. If the drawing is wrong we change the drawing.
The awkward conversations
We would rather have them early. That means telling you that your supply will not carry the heater you want, that a barrel is the wrong shape for the glass wall you are imagining, that the cedar ice bath you like will have you hauling a tonne of ice a month, or that the best spot on your plot is twenty metres from where the services are and that costs money.
It is a worse sales technique and a better business. The alternative is being the company that gets the call in year two.
Who we build for
Private villa owners and residents across the island, boutique hotels and resorts from Senggigi to Sire, surf camps around Kuta, yoga and retreat centres, and architects and contractors who would rather bring us in at drawing stage than after the deck is poured.
Talk to us
WhatsApp is the fastest route — send a photo of the spot and rough dimensions and you will get a real answer, not a brochure. Contact us, or read the journal first to see whether we know what we are talking about.
How we work
Four steps,
no surprises.
The same process whether it is one barrel in a garden or a resort courtyard.
01
Survey
On site, or by WhatsApp if you are off-island. We measure the spot, check the supply at the board, and look at where water goes.
02
Drawing & price
Layout, heat-load calculation, specification, fixed price. Two working days. Supply upgrades and civils itemised separately.
03
Build
Cut and assembled in the workshop, installed on site. Three to six weeks standard, eight to twelve custom.
04
Commissioning
Run to temperature, ventilation balanced, every circuit proven, maintenance schedule handed over in writing.
Questions
Answers
Do you import saunas or build them?
We build them on Lombok. Imported flat-pack kits are specified for the climate they were designed in — A2 stainless that rusts in sea air, ventilation sized for dry cold outside air, and crate dimensions that assume a lorry can reach your plot. Building here means the specification matches the island and the panel sizes match your access road.
Do you work with architects and contractors?
Yes, regularly. On new builds it is much cheaper to have us in at drawing stage than after the deck is poured — the supply calculation, the drainage falls and the service runs all want deciding once. We are happy to work to an architect's drawings or to produce the wellness zone package as a sub-consultant.
Do you service systems you didn't build?
Yes, once we have inspected them. We will not sign off on something we cannot see the inside of, so the first visit is an inspection and an honest report. Sometimes that report says the thing is fine and needs a service. Sometimes it says the vapour barrier is missing and no amount of servicing will fix it.
What guarantee do you give?
We stand behind our workmanship and we commission everything before handover — the room runs to temperature, the ventilation is balanced and every circuit is proven with you present. Specific warranty terms for the structure and for bought-in components such as heaters and chillers are set out in your quote, because they differ by item.
